Freedom Next Time

There was general agreement that this book is very well written but not easy bed-time reading.
Pilger supports his arguments with a mind-boggling mountain of facts and figures and many of us found his revelations quite shocking, shifting accepted perceptions of truth.
Without doubt we all learned something.
We discussed the atrocities committed in the name of the British Empire and the moral bankruptcy of the present UK and US governments and how public opinion is manipulated by the media.
John Pilger does a wonderful job of investigative journalism and writes superbly and compassionately.
