March 2016, "The Luck of the Irish"

Seven story tellers, no dogs, several apologies for absence, but plenty of craic and booze, in Hull.

Icon for theme

The Luck of the Irish

The theme proved to be a story telling inspiration for many.

Some of us are developing a story telling style, with Elaine's geographical stories, Steven's myths and legends, and Peter's hapless characters. Steve even managed part 2 of the Magic Cow saga.

Cath

Coloquhon's challenge involved the longbow, the axe and a trial by fire. The challenger won, but destroyed his capability by over-playing his strengths.

Ann

Ann's "White Trout" met a sad ending but did live on via the pure-at-heart hermit.

Elaine

Reminded us of why the Giant's Causeway points towards Fingal's Cave, and how the Isle of Man was born.

Peter

Henpecked Seamus and the Irish genie in the lamp, three "birds" with one "stone", happy ending.

Steve

Magic Cow, second installment.
The nasty giant meets his comeuppance at the hands of the brothers and with the collusion of the daughter.

Joan

The sad sad story of Dead Bod.
