Delight Minor Methods - An Introduction

Delight versus Surprise

The distinctions amongst Treble Bob, Delight and Surprise are documented under "Method".

Thirds Place Delight methods are valuable as stepping stones from Kent and Oxford T.B. to Surprise Minor in enabling changes to the work below the teble whilst using the familiar structures of Treble Bob above.

Fourths Place Delight methods also help to build experience of different structures.

Thirds Place Delight

Cardinal

Essential

We have not yet identified any methods in this category.

Stepping Stones

We have included Hitcham Delight because, whilst not strictly regular (1236 Cross-Section) it is easier for a "blue line ringer" to access Hitcham, than it is to access Wath Delight. Wath Delight is both elegant and regular, but requires more learning and concentration.

Both Wath Delight and Hitcham Delight have simple extensions to Major.
